University of Hyderabad Admissions

University of Hyderabad, ranked no.1 in India for it's excellence in teaching and research. The university follow semester system for all the programs.

Courses Offered: 5-year Integrated M.A. / M.Sc. Courses:

I.M.Sc. Courses (10 Semesters or 5 years): These are integrated courses
Mathematical Sciences , Physics, Chemical Sciences, Systems Biology, Optometry, Vision Science Nursing Sciences and Health Psychology. The admission for these recently introduced six courses will be through IIT-JEE / streams of KVPY / first rankers of CBSE, ICSE / State Boards of +2 education.

I.M.A. Courses in Humanities (10 Semesters or 5 years): Languages: Hindi, Telugu and Urdu, Language Science.

I.M.A. in Social Sciences (10 Semesters or 5 years)

Postgraduate Courses:

M.Sc. courses (4 semesters) in the following subjects: Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics-OR- Physics, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Plant Biology & Biotechnology, Molecular Microbiology, Animal Biotechnology, Biotechnology. The admissions for M.Sc. Biotechnology course will be based on the entrance test conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi.

Professional Courses: M.C.A (6 semesters), M.B.A. Health Care and Hospital Management (4 semesters) and M.B.A. (4 semesters). The selection process for admissions to MBA course will be based on CAT score followed by an Interview or Group Discussion.

M.A. courses (4 semesters): English, Political Science, Sociology, Functional Hindi (Translation), Telugu, Urdu, Philosophy, Hindi, Applied Linguistics, Economics, History, Anthropology, Communication (Radio & Video production, M.P.A. Dance (4 semesters) (Kuchipudi, Bharatanatyam, and Folk), Print and New Media, Communication Studies, and Advertising & Public Relations.) , M.F.A. (4 semesters) (Painting, Print Making and Sculpture), M.P.A. Theatre Arts (6 semesters).

Advanced P.G. Diploma Courses (2 semesters): Mineral Exploration (offered in collaboration with NGRI, Atomic Minerals Directorate (AMD), National Remote Sensing Agency (NRSA), and National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC).
Folk Culture studies
P.G. Diploma Courses (2 semesters)
Counseling Psychology
Health Fitness and Life Style Management

M.Tech. Courses (with 4 semesters) in the following subjects:

Computer Science
Computational Techniques
Artificial Intelligence
Information Technology - (offered in collaboration with IDRBT)

The university also offers M.Phil, Ph.D. courses in all the disciplines. Notification for admission into all the above programmes has been released. Candidates shall download applications from university website www.uohyd.info .
